Downlights
Unless you are building within a couple of hundred miles of the Artic Circle there's a really good chance you are going to need some lights in your house. Now we honestly can't sit here and tell you that choosing lights is going to be the most exciting part of this process, but unless you fancy a lifetime of stubbed toes it's definitely something you need to look into. Down-lights are the circular lights you see dotted around most ceilings and despite having awful shadow casting properties - seriously try doing ANYTHING at all underneath them - and a 'just discernible enough to be annoying' electric hum they cost about 10% of the alternative, making them without doubt the best product to use in the construction of your development.
Wall Hangers
A feature in properties since the times of wrapping a burning piece of cloth around a bit of tree and poking it into the wall, Wall hanging lights are available in a wide variety of designs and styles and can be located specifically in areas where more light is needed. In contrast to the blanket coverage offered by Downlights, Wall hanging lights can be designed to create mood, differentiate between areas of low and high foot traffic and perhaps most importantly keep brightness at a level that is far more comfortable for the eyes. Given all of this flexibility its a wonder these light fixtures are these days so overlooked but they are without doubt the best product to use in the construction of your development.
LED feature lighting
Let's be honest, building your first home is an expensive process, especially if you are still in your early 20's, and usually means giving up a whole lot of things you would otherwise be enjoying with your friends in order to save that extra £50 a week to eventually pay for a rug or something. If you find yourself missing the fun of the local nightclub why not look to install some LED feature lights in your new property. All the jazz and rhythmic colour changing pizazz of your local rave with none of the sweat! LED lights are without doubt the best product to use in the construction of your development.
Fluorescent strip lighting
Remember those two years between the ages of 22-24 when you were fresh out of university and excitedly planning the next great stage of your life? When saving money for the next big adventure meant you lived in your parents garage to save on rent. Well now, 20 years later, you can relive that wondrous, youthful time by installing Fluorescent light bulbs in the beautiful new home all that hard work and sacrifice has finally paid for. As the cheap plastic housing barely holds the flickering, humming bulb in place over your head you can be transported back in time to wild nights of alcohol, multiple partners and that constant whiff of cheap weed in the air. These fixtures are dirt cheap as well, meaning (despite the fact you'll be replacing bulbs roughly once every six hours) this is without doubt the best product to use in the construction of your development.
