Wall Lights
One by the door, one by the garage. Realistically that's probably all you need - unless you are fond of a little night time gardening - but hey, this is your dream home, lets not just install what we "need", lets cover the whole b*****d house in lights from top to bottom. Remember the days when neighbours used to phone ahead first to see if you were home before popping round to borrow some sugar? Security Lights
Are you ready to be woken up 18 times a night by the neighbours cat trotting across your driveway? Did you choose to build your new dream home in an area where crime rates are on an inexhaustible rise? Silly Billy. Security lights are fantastic pieces of equipment that light up the nearest square mile at the slightest flap of a butterflies wing. Leave them on in the day for extra protection and your home will be safe and secure anytime you are in the building. Of course if you aren't home you are just making it easier for burglars to see what they are doing but hey, that's a minor quibble. In these turbulent times motion sensor operated security lights are without doubt the best product to use in the construction of your development.
Uplights
Nothing says "rob me, i'm rich" quite like the dim glow of seventeen hundred tiny ground based lights shining thin, almost invisible, beams half way up the walls of a property. For added effect why not set them within your planted boundaries so that the slightest wind half covers them in loose soil and fallen leaves, rendering them next to useless on a daily basis. To be fair though your ego probably needs people driving past to know that your house is there in all its opulent glory so you can no doubt get your 80 year old, minimum wage gardener to make sure they are kept clean.
