Insulation

Fibreglass wool
If you've been in any loft recently you'll probably already be acutely aware of the existence of Fibreglass wool, the itching feeling alone stays with you for days after exposure. This composite wool material has been in use within the construction industry ever since people stopped wearing more clothes inside the house and decided that the home should instead act as one big sweater. Stuffed inside every single gap you can find this wool offers a fantastic barrier against the elements and on a price per meter basis cannot be beaten. Despite being much older technology the price point alone means this is without doubt the best product to use in the construction of your development.

Closed cell foam
Four inch thick slabs of compressed blown foam material are fitted either directly to the wall surface or snuggly inside the wooden frame work of your stud walls and offer a fantastic barrier against the elements. Irrespective of the fact the foil lining will reduce your mobile phone coverage to zero these insulation slabs are quicker to fit and much easier to work with than more flexible forms of insulation, making them without doubt the best product to use in the construction of your development.

Insulated plasterboard
For years people have been insulating walls and then plaster boarding on top of them via a system that was happily accepted by all as "industry standard". Not content with the status quo though - and possibly looking for something new to hype in their monthly trade shows - insulation manufacturers set out to invent something if not entirely new, certainly more expensive. Utilising the utterly genius idea (put forward by Dave Stewart of Brisbane Australia during a monthly product meeting) required to glue the previously separate parts together and offer it as an entirely new product, insulation manufacturers around the world set forth to once again change the world. Its high density and speed of installation (despite being inconceivably priced at much more than 2x as much as the previous system) makes this without doubt the best product to use in the construction of your development.

Blown cavity fill foam
Usually installed as an additional measure once construction has been completed, this process involves loudly drilling hundreds of small holes in the exterior walls of a building and pumping in a form of expanding foam to coat the external skin of the internal wall. Touted by its marketers as the fastest and best insulation system on the planet (just like all the others are) it is without doubt the best product to use in the construction of your development.
